Captain Ariana G. Savino proudly carried that tradition.

On March 12, 2026, Captain Savino was one of six Airmen who lost their lives when their KC-135 Stratotanker crashed in western Iraq while supporting Operation Epic Fury. Their aircraft was conducting a vital combat support mission, providing the aerial refueling capability that allows American and coalition aircraft to remain on station and accomplish their objectives.

Though far from the spotlight, their mission was essential.

Called to Serve

Captain Savino chose a profession built on discipline, teamwork, and service.
